Cedar Creek Lake began as a vital water-supply reservoir for North Texas. Since it was impounded in 1966, the lake has become a place for early mornings, family traditions, fishing stories, and wide-open afternoons.
The reservoir was created as a North Texas water-supply project and became the lake people return to for time away.
The lake is open 24 hours a day. After dark, watercraft lighting rules still apply.
